There is an old saying that says, “The Truth Hurts”. This is a true statement. And even when we look introspectively at our own truth, it often hurts if we are honest with ourselves. But telling the truth is always the right thing to do and should always be  motivated by love.

The Church has been bullied into silence and has lost it boldness. But when we tell the truth it demands a response. Often the response is vitriol.

I sat on this idea for many years before deciding to move forward for several reasons including busyness and laziness. In the mid-1980’s, I experienced a major change in my life that took me from knowing about Jesus to knowing Jesus as my personal savior. Even though I grew up in church and had experienced several emotional encounters with Christ, I didn’t really know Him as Lord. This transition challenge everything I had been taught in life and immediately turned me against the culture in which I had been raised. Back when this transition happened, I didn’t have a description for what happened to me but today I would describe my thinking as being either a Biblical/Christian Worldview. To me that meant that I filtered everything in my life through the Bible and what it says. That change affected everything including my politics which had caused me to become an enemy of many in the Negro race because we had been re-educated to believe what went against our traditional conservative beliefs.

The Purpose

The real purpose for this venture is to provide support for organizations who have boots on the ground providing tangible services including educational services that empower and not enable. The time has come to support real initiatives that are not government driven but that will equip people with the intellectual knowledge along with the spiritual and emotional fortitude to have real success and to reach back to help others as they levy existing opportunities while creating new opportunities. Funds generated will go to “boots-on-the-ground, dirty under the fingernail organizations, who have acknowledged the challenges and who are not just blaming others for the problems.
